From a Casual Observer

August 19, 2008 by linky47

Well, the world continues to deliver plenty of contrast and paradox. We have the pursuit of excellence at the Olympics in Beijing, to ‘Who Started this?’ debacle in Georgia, to another lost leader resigning this time in Pakistan to our own Prime Minister Helen Clarke showing a real taste of humanity through the sad loss of her trusted guide whilst hiking and skiing in the Southern Alps near Tekapo in the South Island of New Zealand.

Firstly the Olympics. Mahe Drysdale has demonstrated true Olympic spirit with his gutsy performance in the single sculls final. Despite severe illness he competed to the point of collapse - he secured a bronze medal - at full fitness maybe that would have been gold. However it is his gritty performance in the face of real adversity that epitomises what it’s all about. No excuses in the end. He accepts responsibility.

Georgia. Seems to me a classic lack of acceptance of responsibility [ backed up in this case by the US?]. From some accounts the Georgian leader chose to take on an ally of Russia whilst counting on the support of the West with whom he had been cultivating alliances. Well Russia did not muck around and the result has become one of more spin than an out of control top from the West. Get over it, move on, build bridges not escalate conflict!

Pakistan. What seemed to be a way forward out of the messy politics of the past, Musharaff seems to have lost his way, become unpopular and has now resigned. At least he has listened to his opposition and not denied reality like Mugabe in Zimbabwe - what a disaster - I still have yet to figure out how we can commit such atrocities against our fellow citizens.

New Zealand. Helen Clarke as head of Government for three terms has become somewhat unpopular and looks to be voted out at the forthcoming general elections. This past week I, among many, have seen a more human side through the tragedy that occurred as mentioned earlier. So bravo!

Which leads me to my passion - the internet is borderless and many disenfranchised people have found some form of solace from this mere fact. Sure, there’s plenty of suppression as to access for certain folks and yes, there are some dodgey buggers lurking around, but at the same time we have the greatest repository of information available to us - mostly for free. Hurrah for that! In time this method of communicating will overcome mad governments, allow people to become financially independent, educated and more knowledgeable.

A way forward to a greater community.

Moving my Coaching Business Online

July 27, 2008 by linky47

I have been pondering this question for quite some time, especially how to do it. My special interest is in helping people move from where they are now to where they want to [ realize their dreams] whether these aspirations are personal or business. I do know after coaching a few entrepreneurs who have businesses that often the best place to start is with the individual’s mindset. Get this sorted out and then real effective change can occur quite quickly. Most issues seem to arise from lack of a decent plan and poor marketing.

Marketing is the key to getting my business online - after I have defined what it is that I need to focus on [initially at least].

These two lessons were repeated time and again by most of the ‘gurus’ who spoke at the World Internet Summit’ here in Auckland N.Z. last week. Pretty much like the Law of Attraction in action!

So, it is time to start putting the correct building blocks in place so that I can reach more people and help more people through the power of the world wide web.

I am learning new stuff very day - like Yaro Starak who has a successful blog that provides him with a steady income - he has some great tutorial videos and has produced an excellent e book [ free] on what to do. You can check that out at www.entrepreneurs-journey.com

The question remains at this point whether to focus purely on blogging or to have a web site with a blog also.

I am getting advice from a successful SEO expert on this next week and so my journey begins. One great piece of advice given at the seminar was to get a mentor - advice that I am taking this time. I have spent too much time and money trying o do it all myself and the results speak for themselves! As a coach I should know that!

So, watch this space as I begin my journey - I’ll do my best to regularly update the process - my own journey.

Just like the Mythology/Metaphor workshop I embarked on a few weeks ago - getting in touch with and noticing my ’shadow’ - now my shadow is ‘out there’ and its voice has much less power than it used to!

World Internet Summit Auckland New Zealand July 17 -20 2008

What a blast!
This is the world’s biggest internet event - hosted by Brett McFall ‘The Simplifier’ and Tom Hua ‘The Viral Marketing Guy’.
The line up of guest speakers in addition to Brett and Tom were; Ewen Chia, Shaune Clarke, Sean Roach, Michel and Sylvie Fortin, Dr Mike Woo-Ming and Brian ‘Koz’ Kosobucki, Paul Easton [SEO expert from NZ],Gail Bottomley [also from NZ], Adam Ginsberg , Debra Thompson Roedl and Alan Forrest Smith.
The content from all speakers was fantastic - and many released new product to the public for the very first time! We were truly privileged!
With two speakers from NZ for the first time - watch out world - we’re catching up fast!
The final address by Brett McFall included an offer like no other, my friend jumped at the opportunity to hopefully be included in this special 12 month mentoring programme.
And without any doubt all attendees were mightily impressed with the ’secrets’, ‘tips’ & marketing information together with a strong dose of ‘coaching’ to help us on the way to our own individual success.
Videos of the Sydney event are now available - including resell rights - more details will be posted on my web site very soon. These are a highly valuable resource and will prove their worth time and time again. If you with to just purchase for your own library - then, yeah - go for it.
I’ll post a URL where you can get them soon - or leave a comment if you are interested and I’ll speed the process up for you!
W.I.S. has now been to 15 countries and there have been 30 events so far - next one coming up soon is in London.

More on the Law of Attraction

June 16, 2008 by linky47

I have just started reading ‘Harmonic Wealth’ by James Arthur Ray one of the ‘teachers’ who appeared on the Oprah Show discussing the principles of the Law of Attraction shown in ‘The Secret’. Since then thousands, maybe millions of us have attempted to apply these principles without much success. It is quite clear to me that the world is ready for the message but not entirely sure how to apply the teachings successfully. These principles are not new - maybe excellent marketing and timing have combined to provide a vehicle for discovery. ‘What The Bleep’ is also a fascinating insight into science meets metaphysics!
Well, it seems to me that James is as qualified as any to help us on our journey - check out his book and do the exercises your life may change for the better!

Insomnia

June 16, 2008 by linky47

I came across this video by accident today. Insomnia is something I have suffered from most of my life. Today, because I was tired I stand to lose a $20,000 sale! I have played around with EFT on and off with mixed results. I plan to try this technique for a few days and then I shall record my findings. I know that when I am fresh after having a [rare] good night’s sleep, my energy levels and my outlook change considerably for the better!

Secret to Becoming Successful - part 1

November 22, 2007 by linky47

You have heard of the Law of Attraction, brought to prominence by the phenomenon called ‘The Secret’. You might have seen it on Oprah or Joe Vitale talking with Larry King. If, like me , you were sufficiently interested you probably bought the DVD or the book.

Maybe you found out about Jerry and Esther Hicks and their work with the entity called Abraham. There are others of course.

What was all the fuss about?

Why are you not enjoying the same financial well being and an abundant life?

Could it be it to do with the fact that most of you do not enjoy the kind of life that the teachers of ‘the secret’ espouse? Whether that’s by way of the material or good things in life like lots of money, nice car, nice house etc., or a more spiritual approach that has less to do with material wealth and more to do becoming reconnected to what’s important for you in your life - whatever that is.

For most of you, I feel it is fair to say that having more than enough money in order to ‘just get by’ is very important. At least you can help a lot of people or organizations with money - you can’t do much good without it!

And you do need money to get by in this modern world.

So, why, if we apply the lessons in ‘The Secret’ [and other works], are you not experiencing the lifestyle you wish for?

Could it be to do with your mindset? No doubt like me, your default program - how you think and feel and believe is preventing you - a road block so to speak.

Well, I have something for you to check out - it is free, I am using it and I am noticing a change. I encourage you to have a look, there are other options should you wish to take it further.

Just follow the link below.

I also have something else quite exciting - also free to join, coming up in a few days - and again it will offer  pathway to your success.

Remember as always, keep a record of your activities in your Success Diary!

My Best to You!

Success!

August 14, 2007 by linky47

As a personal and business coach I have a passion for helping you become successful! Whether you want more money, a better job or new career, maybe start a new business, have a better social life or a great relationship, then I am here to help you get that. Or, at least guide you to resources that will be of use to you.

First off though, you need to know where you are right now.

You then need to get crystal clear as to what you want to achieve or where you want to go.

Once you have these two parameters, then you have a ‘gap’ - where you are now to where you want to be.

Now, there’s not much point in chasing after wealth and propserity for example if you are not able to fully enjoy this abundance. It is true that those who are fit and healthy have a different experience of life than those of you who are unfit and have low energy.

Can you see where I am going with this? To fully enjoy whatever it is you want, then it is important to ensure you are capable of realizing the benefits of your success.

There’s more at my site on this with useful links to personal development.

For example - you want prosperity, you want to be wealthy and enjoy all that money can buy. How about starting to think like a wealthy person would, to have that ‘millionaire mindset’? Well as Ghandi says ‘You must be the change you wish to see in the world’.

I welcome your comments - remember my website is still a work in progress, there’s plenty to do. If there is any help you want on any area of your life or you are interested in one of my coaching programs feel free to send me an email. I’ll definitely reply!

Where do all the newbies go?

April 7, 2007 by linky47

I was talking today with Mary, an acquiantance [soon to be a really good friend, mentor, coach and fellow traveller]. We were discussing how difficult it seems to be to get all the pieces of the internet marketing puzzle together in easy to do simple steps.

Seems to both of us that by the time a product is created [ new product or affiliate/JV], and a web site is built, hosting is paid for, autoresponder etc are paid for, maybe adsense or pay Per click, etc etc., there can be, [ and no doubt often is], quite a drain on resources before one even begins to garner a return on the dollars invested.

That’s always part of the attraction and challenge of starting any new venture. And, of course the Web is full of ‘instant’ turn key promotions that promise but do not fulfill in quite the way non tech beginners can quite grasp! There always seems to be a gap - not forgetting the key - t0 attracting traffic or potential buyers to your site.

Having said all that, and having had a bit of a moan, both Mary and I are determined to make this e - commerce thing work. Available to us are state of the art affilaite programs for e bay and a super Science of Getting Rich [ you've heard of 'The Secret' - right?].

So, if anyone out there has the answer to our dilemma, we’d love to hear from you!

There is the seed of a new product creation - can you see it?

More Than Meets The Eye!

March 28, 2007 by linky47

My mission has been for some time to create a presence and an income on this great World Wide Web - the internet, but, no doubt like many of you, my actions - or lack of them - have ensured that this has not happened. Until now!

Seems to me  - if you believe some of the ‘hoopla’ that goes with Internet Marketers’ promotions, that their offer is the next big thing and to remember that all that has gone before is now old hat and won’t quite work if one wants to generate a serious income. Well, I’m not so sure! Surely there is room to dip a toe in the water without commiting huge amounts of monthly [or other], fees, to try out various options, maybe build a relationship or two, gain insights, get advice and generally grow organically.

It may be that blogging is such a vehicle. And, courtesy of WordPress, here I am with my first blog, dipping my toe in the waters of the WWW!

As a certified Life Coach, Master Practitioner in NLP, one of my great interests and passions is personal development. I know, the Web is full of wonderful work in this area, there’s plenty of information of all flavours, ther are courses and even virtual Universities with world renowned teachers and motivators contributing.

Well, I’d like to contribute also in my own small way. I’m not entirely sure what ultimate form this might take. There may be an affiliate programme or two that I’ll talk about here - in fact right now I have access to amazing product on being successful on e Bay!! More later.

I have a mentor - a very successful Internet Marketer and Copywriter - he also espouses simplicity and starting off low cost. Of course there’s nothing wrong with investing as much as you are comfortable with and fastracking [hopefully], your substantial income. Maybe I’ll go that way also, maybe not - meantime I’ll start putting some meaningful content up here on a regualr basis and, who knows a great dialogue could ensue!

I certainly welcome any questions from professionals or newcomers alike - I’ll find or share the answers as the case may be - that way we all get to share!
